Percussion Play Netherlands Reach Innovation Award Finals
The team from Percussion Play Netherlands are delighted to share the news that the Rainbow Cavatina and Music Book have reached the final round of the '2019 NOT Innovation Awards' - the Dutch educational awards that recognise and celebrate the most innovative products focused specifically in and around early education.
From over 70 submissions, 10 finalists remain, having been fully assessed by an independent jury consisting of the winners from last years 'Teachers of the Year Awards'. The jury, among other things, looked at criteria such as how the product scores with regard to improving education within the target group (primary education), what are the advantages for the target group and how does the innovation score in terms of usability, attractiveness and practicality.
Highlighting how the rainbow notes of the outdoor Cavatina match those of the Music Book making it possible to play "by colour" and with no previous musical knowledge, the jury recognised how the Cavatina with the Music Book is ideally suited for use in early education settings and how the outdoor instrument is "practical, easily accessible and enormously music motivating".
The jury will announce the winners on the first day of the National Education Exhibition (NOT) exhibition - the largest networking event for teachers from the Netherlands that focuses on Childcare, Primary Education, Secondary Education and Secondary Vocational Education - in late January 2019. Percussion Play Netherlands will be bringing not one but two Rainbow Cavatina and Music Books to the show - one on their Stand 01.B135 and one in the Innovation Tunnel where visitors can view all the finalists entries for the Innovation Awards.
In addition to this award there is also a chance to win the 'Audience Prize' where visitors, educators and members of the public can vote for their favourite product amongst the 10 finalists.
