The team at Percussion Play Netherlands is excited to announce that the Rainbow Cavatina and the Music Book have reached the final round of the 2019 NOT Innovation Awards. These awards recognize and celebrate the most innovative products designed specifically for early education in the Netherlands.
Out of more than 70 submissions, only 10 finalists remain. These were thoroughly assessed by an independent jury composed of the previous year's 'Teachers of the Year Award' winners. The jury evaluated each submission based on criteria such as its effectiveness in improving education for primary students, the benefits it offers to this age group, and the product's usability, attractiveness, and practicality.
The jury highlighted how the vibrant notes of the outdoor Cavatina align with those in the Music Book, enabling users to play "by color" without prior musical knowledge. They recognized that this combination is particularly well-suited for early education settings, noting that the outdoor instrument is "practical, easily accessible, and highly motivating for musical engagement."
The winners will be announced on the first day of the National Education Exhibition (NOT), the largest networking event for teachers in the Netherlands focused on Childcare, Primary Education, Secondary Education, and Secondary Vocational Education, taking place in late January 2019. Percussion Play Netherlands will be showcasing not one but two Rainbow Cavatinas along with Music Books—one at their Stand 01.B135 and another in the Innovation Tunnel, where visitors can explore all the finalists for the Innovation Awards.
